Dramatic footage of Hurricane Irma ripping a roof clean off a building in a Miami neighborhood was posted to Twitter Sunday afternoon. It was confirmed separately by local authorities, as the storm continued to hammer away at South Florida.

The City of Miami, via its official Twitter page, said that the local fire department compared before and after satellite photos to confirm the damage:

Miami was beset by massive flooding on Sunday as band after band of rain and wind lashed the city, felling at least two construction cranes—even as the full force of the hurricane began to pummel the Gulf Coast city of Naples, continuing north towards Tampa.
