Tom Wolfe has died. The Right Stuff author, who National Review founder William F. Buckley once called “probably the most skillful writer in America,” was the subject of a 1983 Mother Jones cover story written by none other than the late Christopher Hitchens. That article, “A Wolfe in Chic Clothing,” is reproduced below.
