Supreme Court Approves Controversial Lethal Injection Drug. Read the Opinion Here.

On Monday, the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 opinion, approved the use of the sedative midazolam in lethal injections, ruling against against three death row inmates in Oklahoma. The court ruled the drug does not violate the Eighth Amendment’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment. Read the full opinion of the court below:
